Rightly Divide the Word of truth - 2 Timothy 2:15
If any man thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know (1 Corinthians 8:2).
Knowledge puffs up but love builds up which is the purpose of this website.
As we go through God’s school of hard knocks, all we can do is diligently pray Paul’s prayer found in Ephesians.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the realization of Him (Ephesians 1:17)
Through the mistranslation of Hebrew and Greek words, which produced words such as:
hell, age, ever, world, eternal, never, forever, forever and ever, course, beginning of the world, forever more, without end and everlasting .... coupled with man made traditions and pagan philosophy, the word of God has become difficult to understand.
As we move from faith-to-faith, God steps in and walks with us, leading and guiding us. He keeps showing the way as long as we acknowledge what He shows us (Ephesians 1:17). The acknowledging of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25) keeps us from the snare of the devil.
In order to move from faith to faith we must take God at His word and respond accordingly. This work of faith permanently links the believer with the Savior and His out-flowing life. The relationship with God begins here and deepens through acts of faith. God desires an active faith that works and grows in responding to Him. Some examples of responding to God’s spoken word is that of Abel, Abraham and Noah.
Paul speaks of constantly bearing in mind your work of faith (l Thessalonians 1:3). After hearing a teaching about forgiveness, the disciples implored...increase our faith! (Luke 17:5). This is true for us today. A heart truly after God desires this growth. In our current dispensation, God is silent. The believer must study the scriptures to uncover the faith God desires today.
Just like the men of faith mentioned above responding to God’s spoken word, we must respond to His spoken word also. Studying God's Word rightly divided and responding accordingly nourishes the faith relationship. Respond to the scripture below.
Endeavor to present yourself to God qualified, an unashamed worker, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 2:15)
I pray this site will encourage you to do so.
Keep on acknowledging and pressing on, while we await the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13).
